Ansem Report 8

After having sealed Hollow Bastion, the Hades Cup in the Olympus Coliseum should open; to obtain this report, you must defeat Hades.
There is no doubt that the Heartless are deeply connected to the people’s hearts. Further study may unravel both their motivations and the mysteries shrouding the heart. As a start, I have built a device that artificially creates Heartless.
By recreating the conditions that spawn the Heartless naturally, I should be able to produce them artificially. This device is the culmination of all my research thus far. The machine’s test run successfully created a Heartless. This may be a step toward creating a heart from nothing.
The artificially and naturally created Heartless showed nearly identical traits. But the two types remain distinct for the purpose of the experiment. So, I will mark the ones that are created artificially.

You can obtain Dumbo in a chest in the belly of Monstro that contains a Watergleam. Dumbo was a star in his homeworld until the heartless came and destroyed it. When Dumbo is summoned Sora jumps onto his head and rides him while Dumbo flys across the battlefeild shooting jets of water at enemies. Together, they are invuernable to any attacks.

Monstro
January 31, 2008 · Leave a Comment
After you are done with Agrabah and are heading to a new world halfway through your
journey to it a large object will block your way. It’s Monstro the whale and he swallows you whole. You soon find out that Pinocchio and his father Geppetto have been eaten as well.
Swim through the water to Geppetto’s ship at the rear of the chamber. There are lots of chests in this area but for now, there’re out of reach. After introductions are made go after Pinocchio through the bowels of the beast. You will have to go through a series of chambers to progress through the game.
Chamber 1:Walk forward to eneter a cut-scene and defeat the enemies and head straight into Chamber 3.
Chamber 3:Fight your way through the chamber to the back to obtain a Mega-Ether, then return to Chamber 1.
Chamber 1:Hop onto the rise and eneter Chamber 2.
Chamber 2:Collect the Cottage from the chest and continue to Chamber 3.![]()
Chamber 3 Mid-Level:The party os dropped from a higher level in the room. Jump from the central barrel to the platform overhead to get Dalmatians 76, 77, and 78. Drop to the platform below and eneter the door to Chamber 2.
Chamber 2 Top:Avoid falling off the high ledge. Then jump to the platform with no barrels and jump to the barrel platform. From atop the barrel, jump across the room to the platform with two barrels and get a Megalixir. Use either barrel on this platform to hop back to the prevoius ledge and enter Chanber 5.
Chamber 5:Defeat a large group of Heartless and proceed to Chamber 6.
Chamber 6: Fight to the top step and into the lower area behind. The exit leads to the top p
ortion of Chamber 3, where you can get Dalmatians 55,56, and 57. Then use the barrel near the edge to jump up to a chest with a Tornado-G inside. Navigate back to Chamber 6. There’s a chest at the bottom step of Chamber 6that contains a Dispel-G. While on the highest step in the chamber, throw a barrel near the livly platform and use it to jump to the platform containing a Torn Page. There are two other treasure chests in this area, but they will have to wait.
Final Chamber:Go through the lower door of Chamber 6 to find a secret area of Chamber 5. Defeat some more Heartless and use the blue Trinity Mark to receive a Cottage and lots of munny. The chests contain a Dispel-G and a Mega-Ether. Use the barrel near the first chest to hop up to the middle platform. Don’t fall into the area below this ledge, and don’t break all the barrels. This task is difficult due to all the Barrel Spiders and Search Ghosts. Throw a barrel to the edge near the lively platform, close to Chamber 4’s doorway. Use the barrel to reach the chest which contains Mythril. Jump along the platforms to the right, toward a treasure chest. Destroy the barrel to lower the chest torelease Dalmatians 79, 80, and 81. Don’t exit through either door here. Go back to Chamber 4 through the passageway on mid-level.
Following another cut-scene, a save point appears under Sora. Load up your characters item slots with Potions and Ethers and hop into the bowels of Monstro.
Here is the first boss battle inside the great whale. It’s a giant heartless called Parasite Cage. The heartless has captured Pinocchio and you must come to the rescue. At the start
of the fight, remain on the platform and shoot Fira Spells at it’s head. Continue firing until Sora runs out of Mp, by which time the Parasite Cage should have lost half of it’s health. You can consume an Ether and continue to use Fira Spells at the heartless to quickly end the battle, or launch physical attacks at it until you regain your MP.Goofy learns the Cheer ability for this fight.
Follow Pinocchio through the pit. Sora and the gang are returned to the bow of Geppetto’s ship. Speak to him, then open a chest next to the bureau to obtain the High Jump ability. Equip this and you can now get the treasure chests in this area. Jump along the platforms and into the upper cave with a heart-shaped design on top of it.
During your first trip into Monstro’s throat you’ll encounter a new type of Heartless called Rare Truffles. This heartless hops all over the place and is completely harmless. The idea is to attack them while in mid-air. Just as the creatures are about to hit the ground hit them again to keep them airbourne. If you can do this several times in a row they will drop some goodies for you. The longer you can keep them up, the better the presents. Use the Blue Trinity Mark to obtain a Mythril Shard and lots of munny. Then, hop from platform to platform until you get sucked up into Monstro’s stomache.
Parasite Cage is out for a rematch and he has new tricks up his sleeves. He has developed a new breath attack that can poison you and generally decrease your health. To avoid this attack he puts his tentacle arms into the stomache acid and sucks it up. Run behind him to dodge this attack. The best option of attack is for a head-on strike. Position Sora on the platform near the creature’s head and lock onto the head. Shoot fira spells, if you run out of MP jump from the platform and attack the beast. A prime time to attack is when the heartless begins to tire and sags, opening it’s cage mouth. Attack at the creature’s mouth, which releasing HP and Mp balls while decreasing it’s health. You get the Stop spell from winning this fight. The party is then ejected from Monstro and can go to a new world.
